Sexy car. Sexy girl. Hell, you can’t deny that even Mr. Craig is a good-looking fellow.

I just cannot wait for this movie!

BoA debuts in America
September 10, 2008

BoA – Eat You Up [Preview]

Korean Japanese popstar, BoA, is attempting to break into the US music scene Akon-style (I can only assume that synthesizing her vocals is an attempt to mask her horrificly fobby English). And that blip of a song only serves as a harbinger for a disasterous career. In truth, she failed before she even begun.

Sidenote: Why does she keep insisting her name be spelled: Capital B-Lowercase O-Capital A? Maybe she and Bank of America can work out an endorsement.

Talib Kweli – Listen

“Talib Kweli (born Talib Kweli Greene, 1975) is a rapper from Brooklyn, New York. He is one of the most prominent rappers in underground hip-hop, and is critically acclaimed frequently, despite not being incredibly commercially successful. His name is Arabic, meaning ‘the seeker’ or ‘student of truth and knowledge’.” – Last.fm

Smart Car
June 2, 2008

Smart Fortwos haven’t exactly become popular in the United States yet (though they are available), but they have become an icon on European roads. Though I suspect that the car’s popularity will rise due to the ever-increasing gas prices.

The first thing you’ll realize about this car is its size. The car’s ridiculous wheelbase is so short that you could actually drive the front bumper up to the curb instead of parallel parking along it. The size of the car doesn’t make it any less safe either. The car is loaded with clever safety design, that it performs remarkably well in crashes.

* Please note that the video I posted above doesn’t display any ordinary Smart Fortwo. Its engine has been swapped out and replaced with one from a Suzuki GSX-R (colloquially known as a Gixxer) motorcycle. It has also undergone various suspension, brake, and weight reducing upgrades.

Hulu may be the greatest webpage since YouTube. Hulu is a free service that streams your favorite television programs. It’s better than watching say, six YouTube clips–one after another–that will be taken down eventually for reasons of copyright infringement. So, how does Hulu keep its content from being deleted by the legal departments of television stations? Well, it has gathered the support of Fox, NBC, MGM, Sony, Lionsgate and Warner Brothers, thereby allowing them to freely display not only television programs but also full-length feature films.

It’s awesome to be able to watch episodes of House on my own time! I think their available content on certain shows are great (e.g. The Simpsons)while others are not so great (e.g. Top Chef). It’s a small disappointment, but hopefully they fill in the gaps soon.

Tech Demo For “The Force Unleashed”
January 27, 2008

It’s amazing how gaming has evolved from “Pong” to games with behavioral A.I.. This is a tech demonstration on the new Star Wars game, “The Force Unleashed”. The only Star Wars game I can say I truly enjoyed was “Jedi Power Battles”, but this definitely looks promising. It looks to be a single-player platform title made for next-gen (shouldn’t they be current-gen by now?) machines like the PlayStation 3 and the XBox 360. I’m looking forward to it.

Happy Holidays!

Vienna Teng – Atheist Christmas Carol Performance

I just went to a Vienna Teng Quartet performance so I thought it would be fitting to leave you boys and girls with this song right before Christmas. Enjoy the holidays!

Super Mario Galaxy
December 12, 2007

I’ve been playing this since Saturday and I have to say it’s a remarkably well-made game. The gameplay is challenging without feeling cheap, the controls are intuitive and the level design is creative and innovative. If you’re lucky enough to have a Wii, I would highly recommend this game to you.

It retails at $49.99 at all game boutiques and department stores.
