I’m a Customer.
September 18, 2008

Microsoft fights back to Apple’s long-lived “I’m a Mac, I’m a PC” advertising campaign. Honestly, it is a rather futile attempt at winning customers from Apple’s customer pool. It works like this: if you use a PC (…and I use the term, PC, the way these companies use it. In all honesty, they are all personal computers or PCs.) So if you use a PC, you might switch to a Mac (like I did…). If you use a Mac, you’re unlikely to switch to a PC.

So unlike Apple, Microsoft’s true task is not to win over customers, but rather hold on to the ones they have. And the best way of doing that? Create a product that people want to use.

Rather than argue amongst each other about what OS is better, have the companies do the competing. This insures that you, the consumer, wins.

BoA debuts in America

BoA – Eat You Up [Preview]

Korean Japanese popstar, BoA, is attempting to break into the US music scene Akon-style (I can only assume that synthesizing her vocals is an attempt to mask her horrificly fobby English). And that blip of a song only serves as a harbinger for a disasterous career. In truth, she failed before she even begun.

Sidenote: Why does she keep insisting her name be spelled: Capital B-Lowercase O-Capital A? Maybe she and Bank of America can work out an endorsement.

Indochino

“Cheap suit!”
“How cheap?”
“Cheap suit!”

That pretty much sums up Indochino. They create a variety of suits that are cut to your measurements ensuring a perfect fit and they do it for pretty cheap. I haven’t updated my suit in some time and am thinking about placing an order once I get myself measured up.
