Aston Martin V12 Vantage RS

I posted a while back on a spy shot that I had assumed to be the RS. It turned out that it was instead the N400. But now this new image is popping up around the internet and rumor has it that this will be the RS. Let’s just hope these rumors ring true. And it is.

Most notable are the kicker panels, rear bumper, wheels and retractable wing spoiler. I can’t find a picture on the front side, but I assume it’ll have a new front bumper and a very likely lip to keep the car from lifting at its new speeds. The front of the car is fitted with a new bumper with a larger air duct and as predicted, it has a lip. The hood has been vented with a collection of ugly slats to cool off the new engine. The V8 is being swapped out for a V12 and I can only hope it sounds as good. The powerplant is going to be pulled from the racing-spec DBRS9 giving the car a horsepower count around the six hundred range. It’s estimated to do a zero-to-sixty between three and four seconds and will surpass the two hundred miles an hour mark, making it a legitimate supercar.

There’s no word on pricing, but a quarter million dollars sounds about right. The Ferrari 599 Fiorano is a V12-powered supercar coupe that will likely compete with the V12 Vantage, therefore I just assume they will be carrying a similar price tag.
