A Top Gear Shootout Of Three German Sports Cars
December 24, 2007

Top Gear’s last episode of the season aired yesterday and the three hosts pitted the new BMW M3, Mercedes-Benz AMG C-Class and the Audi RS4 against one another. If it was my choice, I would take the M3 over the other two. It’s not a issue of numbers, reputations or looks but rather an emotive choice. Watch the clips to see which car won.

I posted the rest of the segment after the break.

Miss World 2007: Zi Lin Zhang
December 23, 2007

“The 1.3 billion population of China was behind Zi Lin Zhang to win the title of Miss World 2007, and that’s exactly what she did at the Miss World event held in Sanya, China. The 23 year old and 5 feet 9 inches tall beauty was born in Shi Jia Zhuang City in Hei Bei Province, China. When she’s not traveling or reading, she’s at the track keeping fit with 100 meter jump & hurdles and triple jumps.” – Kineda

Goodness! She’s really pretty.

More photos after the break.

Indy’s Back!
December 23, 2007

I really love the Indiana Jones trilogy and I am glad that there will be a new one. This isn’t the official teaser trailer, in fact it even fails to get the name of the movie right. The real title will be Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. But this fan made a rather well-made trailer so I thought I would post it.

Both Harrison Ford and Karen Allen are back. Disappointed though that Karen isn’t cute like she used to be. But Speilberg at the reins, I have no doubts that this will be another great adventure movie.

Happy Holidays!

Vienna Teng – Atheist Christmas Carol Performance

I just went to a Vienna Teng Quartet performance so I thought it would be fitting to leave you boys and girls with this song right before Christmas. Enjoy the holidays!

Year One Of The 1
December 23, 2007

One of my favorite old cars includes the old 1 series. Everyday I drove home from school, there would be one that was parked along the street. And I just loved the character that car exudes. And  starting Spring of 2008, the new 1-Series is coming back Stateside. And I kind of like it. Granted it’s a bit uglier than BMW’s other models, I still kind of like it.

I’ve heard this car being called the “purest BMW”. Being the economy model on BMW’s line, it won’t feature the most high tech toys. But it doesn’t lack where it’s important, the BMW has an Inline Six running under the hood. And the power is thrown to the rear wheels. My guess is you’ll be paying somewhere between 25 to 31 thousand for this car at base.

Top Gear Goes Endurance Racing
December 19, 2007

It’s been a slow news day so I’ve decided to feed you all a bit of filler. It’s not as bad as it seems though. It’s a segment of the most recent Top Gear episode. The frame at 2:39 just makes me laugh as immature of a joke as it may be. Enjoy!

The rest of the segment is available after the break. (more…)

New Final Fantasy XIII Trailer
December 16, 2007

It doesn’t really help to watch the video I posted above. I know it’s counterproductive but I can’t embed any video besides ones from YouTube, so you’ll have to venture over to to see the video in high-definition.

The game looks amazing and I really can’t wait to see the spectacular art that Squaresoft is famous for in high-def. If it’s anything like the other installments of the Final Fantasy series, then gameplay will be amazing as well.

Be sure to check out the Final Fantasy XIII Versus trailer as well.

The Dark Knight

Looks like a fun summer blockbuster! Can’t wait!

Land Rover LRX
December 14, 2007

The LRX is–hands down–the coolest SUV I’ve ever laid eyes on. Not surprisingly, it’s a Land Rover.

It’s been dubbed the LRX and scheduled to debut at the Detroit Auto Show. It’s a three-door, four-passenger hybrid SUV and by the looks of it, I assume it’s not intended for off-road purposes. Not sure who the target audience is but I am finding myself in want of one. The interior is very unlikely to make it in the production model, assuming that it will ever arrive on the assembly line.

It does have an off-road setting, but is it going to be as incompetent as say an H2? Then again, I don’t care because I won’t be driving it on anything besides roads.

The effects look awesome. It’s directed by Doug Liman who produced the Bourne trilogy, so I assume it will be good. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
