Apple’s Latest Toys

Today, Apple unveiled their new iMac. It’s now wrapped in an brushed aluminum case and is more powerful than ever.

But that’s not what’s caught my interest. It’s actually two other things that comes inside the box. The first is the included keyboard. The new keyboard is modeled after the design that’s found on my MacBook. The spaced keys are now framed in an anodized aluminum casing and comes in two versions: a wired model($49) which includes a keypad and two USB ports, and a wireless Bluetooth variant($79) which does not.

The second is the software preloaded onto the iMac. Apple has released iLife ’08 which includes the latest versions of their award winning line of software. iMovie, iPhoto, iWeb and GarageBand have all received makeovers and are loaded with new features. iLife will cost you $79 for a single user and $99 for a family-pack.
